The Problem:
Design a type specimen poster to advertise a sans-serif typeface. The poster should communicate the visual qualities of the typeface such as the different weights, point sizes, and characters. Along with giving historical information about the typeface of when it was created and by whom.
My Process:
The first step of my process was to gather information about what size the poster will be and if it would be for digital or print usage. Then, I moved on to researching different sans-serif typefaces, as well as styles of how other designed type specimen posters to make into my own. Once gathering all the information and research, I began sketching out how I wanted my poster to be designed. Once I had my sketch finalized I moved on to bringing it to life in Adobe Photoshop.
After everything was set in Photoshop it was time to step back and reflect upon my design and find good qualities and improvements. This then lead to refining any improvements I felt needed to be made. Lastly, I measured how effective my process was to solving the problem and how can it improve for future projects.
